Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo was - brace yourself - even offered lifelong colonoscopies
Carlos Yulo won two Olympic gold medals in two days, and will be awarded for that spectacularly by his government.
The 24-year-old will get a three-bedroom condo in Manila and $173,300. Moreover, medical clinics and universities have rolled out the red carpet for Yulo - a gastroenterologist has offered Yulo free consultations and colonoscopies for life while the University of Mindanao has pledged free university credits.

Also awaiting him are lifetime supplies of ramen, mac and cheese and grilled chicken offered by various restaurant chains.
Meanwhile, the capital city Manila, where Yulo was born and raised, is preparing a "hero's welcome" for him.
"The grandest welcome will greet him and all our Paris Olympians. When we meet him, we will present Carlos Yulo cash incentives, awards and symbols of the eternal gratitude of the proud capital city of the Philippines," Manila mayor Honey Lacuna said.
Philippine president Ferdinand Marcos Jr also congratulated Yulo.
"No words can express how proud we are of you, Caloy. You have achieved gold for the Philippines not once but twice! Filipinos all over the world stood united, cheering and rooting for you," Marcos wrote on Facebook.
